Built for people already at work

The problem is rarely ability.
It is the hours.

Most candidates sitting professional examinations are already working. The syllabus assumes a full-time student. The evening does not.

  • A full working day before study even starts
  • Family and household responsibilities that do not pause
  • A syllabus far larger than the time available for it
  • Study time that arrives in fragments, not clean blocks
  • A fixed examination date that will not move

StudyGenius starts from the hours you actually have — then tells you honestly whether they are enough, and what to do about it if they are not.

How much time do you actually have?

Enter your sitting date and the hours you can protect each week. This gives you a rough sense of the study time ahead of you — the same arithmetic the coach starts from.

What you get

Know what to study next

Every feature answers the same question: given what you know today and the time you have left, what is the most useful thing to do in the next hour?

Adaptive timetable

An hour-by-hour plan built around the time you told us you have. It is rewritten every week from your mastery scores, not from a fixed curriculum schedule.

Taxation+90 min
Cash flows−60 min

Past-paper topic frequency

Past papers are analysed for how often each topic appears and how it is marked, so limited study time goes to the topics most likely to be examined.

Mastery-based progression

Covering a topic is not the same as being able to answer on it. You move on when exam-standard questions say you are ready — not when you have finished reading.

A study partner, at any hour

Ask for a simpler explanation, another worked example, or a comparison with something you already understand. Ask as many times as you need to.

Commonly asked

“Explain consolidation more simply.”
“Give me another example.”
“Test me on this.”

Audio lessons

The same material as audio, for the commute, the queue and the times you cannot sit behind a laptop. Study time you would otherwise lose.

Past papers and a test to assess understanding

Work through real past papers, then take a short test that checks whether the concept has actually landed — followed by a full assessment before your sitting, so nothing about exam day is a surprise.

Weekly review and final revision planning

Each week the plan is reviewed against what you actually completed. In the final week, revision is built from your own performance data rather than a generic checklist.

Final week

Weak topics first, high-frequency topics second, mastered topics only lightly revisited.

The difference

More time for weak topics.
Less repetition of what you have mastered.

This is what separates a study plan from a schedule. Here is the same learner’s week, before and after one mastery check.

Week 5 — before the check

Even split
Taxation3 hrs
Consolidation3 hrs
Cash flows3 hrs

Nine hours, divided equally. Reasonable before there is any evidence about where the learner is struggling.

Mastery check result

Gap found
Taxation48%
Consolidation67%
Cash flows91%

Taxation is well below the threshold. Cash flows is comfortably above it. The evidence now exists to act on.

Week 6 — rebuilt

Adapted
Taxation 5 hrs
Consolidation3 hrs
Cash flows 1 hr

Same nine hours. Taxation now takes the largest share, cash flows drops to light revision. No extra time required from the learner.

Questions

Before you enrol

Is StudyGenius a live online class?

No. StudyGenius is a self-paced coaching platform. Instead of fixed class times, it builds a study timetable around the hours you can actually protect, teaches the concepts, tests whether you have understood them, and adjusts the plan as your results come in.

Which programmes are available?

CPA(K), CS, CIFA, CHRP and CPSP-K. Each is examined by its professional body — StudyGenius prepares you for those examinations; it does not set or award them.

How does the timetable adapt?

Every week the plan is rebuilt from two things: how you scored on recent mastery checks, and how much of the syllabus is still ahead of you. Topics you are struggling with get more time. Topics you have already demonstrated get less. Nothing is repeated for its own sake.

How many units can I register for?

Up to three units in a single registration, or the whole level. If you need more than three units but not the full level, register again once your first selection is under way, or talk to us and we will advise.

What assessments are included?

Mastery checks after each topic, a short test to assess your understanding of the concept, real past papers, and a final assessment before your sitting. Marking is immediate and the feedback names the gap rather than just the score.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes, on a section or a level. A section (KES 14,000) can be paid as two instalments of KES 7,000. A level (KES 28,000) can be paid as two instalments of KES 14,000 — the first at registration and the second a month later. Your first instalment opens the first half of the topics; the balance opens the rest.
